Eight Channel- Support for up to 8 cameras recording simultaneously with audio. Each individual camera can be set to record at different resolutions and frames per seconds.
Cameras- Compatible with all standard CCTV cameras using composite video connectors including CMOS and CCD type CCTV cameras.
Storage- The H40 supports up to 256GB internal memory via two SD/SDHC memory cards slots (each slot supports up to 128GB) or up to 2TB via a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive.
Record Time- In the highest recording quality (D1 30fps) using 4 cameras the H40 will record for over 100 hours using 2x 128GB (256GB total) SDHC cards or for over 750 hours using a 2TB 2.5 SATA hard drive. The resolution or FPS of each camera can be decreased to increase recording times if required.
File Back Up- Recorded files can be backed to a USB memory stick for archiving or playback on a computer. The recorded files can be backed up in either H.264 or AVI video formats. The drives can also be removed and connected to a computer for play back/backup using the viewing software on a computer.
Movement Activation- The DVR can be configured to record or take snap shots on detecting movement. This feature can be activated on specific cameras and areas of the cameras field of view.
Anti-Tamper Design- Key operated access cover, to prevent unauthorised access to the DVR’s storage drives, recorded data and USB ports.
Password Protection- Access to the DVR’s menus and settings are password protected, with the option to allow an administrator full access and a user with limited permissions to the H40's settings and menus.
Encrypted Files- All recorded and download video files are encrypted and compressed using H.264 video coding. This means third parties will not be able to access/view the recorded data without the media player software supplied with the H40 DVR.
Live Play Back- All recorded footage can be played back on the DVR and searched for via either time & date or event.
Selectable Recording Modes- Three customisable record modes schedule, manual and stop that can be set to each individual camera connected to the DVR.
Wide Working Voltage- Compatible with voltage inputs between 9V DC & 36V DC including 12V DC & 24V DC power systems.
Loop Record- The DVR will record on a loop, so once the storage is full it will automatically overwrite the oldest footage first.
Time & Date Stamp- Each channel is watermarked with the time and date it footage was recorded.
Built-In USB ports- Two USB 2.0 ports for connecting memory sticks for data backup or a mouse to control the DVR.
Video Out- Standard composite video out for plugging in external LCD/TFT monitors using either PAL or NTSC video systems.

Input Sensors- The DVR system has 6 sensor inputs and can be programmed to take any 6 electrical input feeds from around the vehicle. Sensors can be used to trigger events on the device. Typical sensors include indicators, brake application, reverse gear selection, doors open, taxi meter activation etc. The sensor events are then marked for easy playback. This enables users to quickly search video via specific events like reversing, doors opening, indication etc. Motion detection can also be incorporated to increase recording times.

CCTV DVR Video Technology Explained
D1 CCTV recording resolution also known as ‘full resolution’ produces a picture resolution of 704x480 NTSC or 704x576 PAL. This is four times greater definition than standard CIF resolution CCTV systems. Using D1 CCTV technology the DVR will produce a higher definition picture with much more detail and a clearer image.
The H40 MDVR can be supplied with high quality class 10 SDHC cards pre-installed up to a maximum of 256GB (2x128GB) worth of storage or a 1TB or 2TB 2.5in SATA drives.
